FOR THE LOVE OF TEA
Light, moisture and odors are the enemies!

Tea tastes best when consumed within a year after production. Tea must be stored correctly to maintain freshness. The enemies of tea are air, light, moisture and odors from other foods. Tea must be stored in a cool and dry environment, in an opaque and airtight container is necessary to maintain quality. Avoid glass jars, as this exposes the tea to light.  Green tea can be stored long-term in a refrigerator, provided there is no moisture in the storage container.  And room temperature is usually fine for most teas. Since tea absorbs other odors very easily, it is important to store it away from any strong-smelling foods.

All our teas are individually vacuumed packed in multi-layered heat sealed foil bags which provide protection from odors, oxidation and moisture.  This is as fresh as your tea gets.
