Type: Japanese Green Tea
Origin: Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan
One of the treasures of Japan; also known as “Precious Dew Drop” because it is admired as the highest grade green tea. Gyokuro leaves are carefully grown under diffused sunlight for twenty days before harvesting, so that the leaves develop a higher chlorophyll, and theanine (free amino acid) levels, and less tannin. This results a very refined tea with dark green leaves, bright green tea liquor, sweet, savory vegetal flavor, and fresh flowery-green aroma.
