Type: Japanese Green Tea
A very popular classic Green tea blend in Japan, also known as “brown rice tea”. A blend of whole leaf steamed green tea with roasted brown rice (genmai) and a few kernels of popped corn which produces a toasty aroma, and nut-like slightly grassy tasting everyday favorite. In many cases Genmaicha is made from low grade Nibancha (second harvest of the year) or Sanbancha (third harvest). Our Genmaicha comes from better quality Sencha leaves that are deep steamed for a light flavor rather than Bancha. An everyday favorite, also excellent iced.
